The La Follette Experience

La Follette is one of a small number of schools in the state using the block system. Each class is an hour and a half, with four classes per day. Most classes are completed in one semester. A new set of four classes begins in the spring semester for a total of eight classes per year per student.

La Follette High School students are expected to apply learning inside and outside the traditional classroom in ways that have a positive impact on the world. This principle draws upon opportunities ranging from conducting research to embracing entrepreneurship to developing multicultural competency.
